Nursing facility wins top honors

Westminster Woods at Huntingdon has been recognized as one of the top nursing facilities in the United States for 2013, as chosen by U.S. News and World Report. This is the second time the nursing facility has achieved the honor as a top nursing facility in the U.S., as it first received the honor in 2010.

Huntingdon, PA – March 11, 2013 – Westminster Woods has been recognized as one of the nation’s top nursing homes by U.S. News & World Report’s fifth annual Best Nursing Homes. The continuing care retirement community, which is part of the Presbyterian Senior Living family of communities, received a five star rating. This is the second time Westminster Woods received the highest ranking by U.S. News & World Report – the first time occurred in 2010.

Residents of The Oaks at Westminster Woods as well as the facility's independent living residents gathered in the dining room at The Oaks Wednesday for a meet and greet with medical director Keith· Sutton and certified registered nurse practitioner (CRNP) Amy Whitsel, both of whom assumed their new roles October 1.
