Groundbreaking for Sycamore Way, the expansion of Westminster Woods continuing care retirement community, was held  Tuesday, April 14th with staff from Presbyterian Senior Living, Westminster Woods, and initial residents marking the event. They are from left to right:

Twenty four two bedroom, two bath villas with garage and aging in place features will be built as they are sold on the 60 acre Westminster Woods property. The first group of villas is expected to be ready for occupancy in the fall.

In addition to new construction on Sycamore Way, plans are being developed  to expand and renovate The Commons.  As a Continuing Care Community, Westminster Woods also offers personal care services as well as skilled nursing and rehabilitation. In February, The Oaks Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center was rated among the top 173 nursing homes in the country by US News and World Report.

Westminster Woods is a Presbyterian Senior Living Community and is located in Huntingdon less than a mile from Juniata College, a short distance from Penn State University, Raystown Lake, two golf courses and several state parks.
